Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Mandibular molars diagnosed with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis. 2. Absence of periapical changes in radiographs (Periapical Index lesser or equal to 2)).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Teeth with fractures 2. Teeth with necrotic pulps following access opening (no bleeding from canals) 3. Teeth diagnosed as acute or chronic apical abscess. 4. Teeth with immature apices 5. Patients with any systemic diseases 6. Patients having history of allergy to local anesthetic solutions or any of the experimental drugs 7. Patients who could not understand the pain scale 8. Patients on long term medications. 9. Patients who were unable to provide informed consent
