Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All women more than 18 years of age admitted in JIPMER OBG Department during pregnancy or within 6 weeks following delivery or miscarriage with clinical signs and symptoms of infection with sepsis or septic shock
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute viral illness 2. HIV infection 3. Hematological malignancies 4. Acute/ Chronic Hepatitis 5. Syphilis 6. Tuberculosis 7. Lower urinary tract infection 8. Iatrogenic hyperthermia due to prosta-glandins/ Epidural 9. Known cardio-respiratory illness 10. Hypovolemic shock
