Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients age 18years and above with primary anterior abdominal wall hernia having defect <7cm in largest dimension who have been given fitness during pre-anaesthetic check-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having complications of hernia such as irreducible/ obstructed/ Strangulated/recurrent hernias. Refusal for consent for laparoscopic surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Seroma formation in post operative period ( at 24 hours, at the time of discharge, 1 week, 1 month) following surgery, using Physical Examination+/- Ultrasound 2. Post operative pain, duration of hospital stay, mesh bulge. 3. Early recurrence if any (within 1 month follow up). Timepoint: POSTOPERATIVE DAY 1 TO DAY 30
