Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All consenting adults of any gender, age 18 years and above 2. Scheduled to undergo an orthopedic surgical procedure involving a skin incision who are likely to have excess skin during wound closure (as assessed pre-operatively by the surgeon) that would otherwise be discarded as hospital medical waste

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those conditions where the integrity of the skin is damaged i.e trauma, crush injury etc 2. Those who are critically ill and are unable to provide consent due to any reason 3. Any other condition in the opinion of the investigator will affect the results of the experiment.
