Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 3 or more rib fractures with bi-cortical displacement with or without Flailchest

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age Hemodynamic instability Delayed presentation or referred cases beyond 48 hours of primary injury. Patients with AIS score >= 4 other than chest region. Patient with posterior rib fracture within 2cm of transverse process ï?· Patients with concomitant severe head injury or high cervical cord injury precluding weaning from mechanical ventilator. Patients with underlying primary lung disease and / or cardiac illness Patients with fractures involving 1st and 2nd ribs or 11th and 12th ribs.
