Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 - 60 years old, of either sex, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASA) I and II, who are scheduled for unilateral inguinal hernia repair under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: PatientÃ¢â?¬•s refusal, Allergies to local anesthetic drugs Body mass index (BMI) >35 Kg/m Significant cardiovascular disease, hepatic dysfunction or renal dysfunction, coagulation abnormalities Infection in the intended intervention site, Bilateral inguinal hernia or obstructed inguinal hernia

To compare the duration of block (The time to first analgesic request) which is defined as the time interval between the end of LA injection and patient pain complaint (VAS more than 3).Timepoint: 24 hours	—

To compare total analgesic consumption in 1st 24 hours. To compare the analgesic effect of trans-muscular quadratus lumborum and transversus abdominis plane block in the form of visual analogue scale (VAS) score at rest and on coughing in 1st 24 hours (immediately after block, 30 min, 1 h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 12h and 24 h) of inguinal hernia repair done under spinal anaesthesia. To compare haemodynamic changes in both the groups. To compare complications if any. Timepoint: Immediately after block, 30 min, 1 h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 12h and 24 h.	—
