MeasureTime frame
Through the integrated approach of molecular and functional imaging, along with histopathological and mRNA level analyses, we will identify the role of CXCR4 in GBM. We will look for the correlation of CXCR4 receptor over-expression as determined on 68Ga-Pentixafor PET/CT with in-vivo techniques and clinical outcome in GBM patients. This research may pave a way for new antagonist pharmaceutical drugs targeting CXCR4 which can be practiced in clinical use.Timepoint: Mile stones and Targets 1. Patient Enrolment, Preoperative MRI and 68Ga Pentixafor PET Scans of brain and, IHC and qRT-PCR analyses after surgery (one year) 2. Postoperative MRI and 68Ga Pentixafor PET Scans of brain after 3 months of Radiotherapy (six months) 3. MRI and 68Ga Pentixafor PET Scans of brain after one year in follow-up. (one year) 4. Data analysis and Manuscript writing (six months)
