Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients admitted to icu with sepsis associated encephalopathypathy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age more than 60 yrs. 2. Orbital trauma. 3. Orbital mass. 4. Eye surgery. 5. Central nervous infection. 6. Cerebrovascular accident / Space occupying lesion. 7. Brain trauma or previous neurosurgery. 8. Pregnancy. 9. Immunocompromised patients . 10. Patients on chemotherapy or radiotherapy. 11. Patient not on any psychiatric medications or sedatives.

To study the correlation of optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) measured by bedside ultrasonography and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score in sepsis associated encephalopathy patients.Timepoint: Immediate.
