Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients having pre-diabetes: HbA1c 5.7-6.4%, fasting blood glucose 100-125 mg/dl, impaired fasting glucose- 140-199 mg/dl (ICD-10 code R73.09). 2. Age: 18-65 years. 3. Sex: Both Male and Female. 4. Indian Diabetic Risk Score (IDRS) more than 60. 5. Literate patient; ability to read English or Bengali 6. Providing with written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having diabetes mellitus. 2. Currently undergoing anti-diabetic drug therapy 3. Diagnosed cases of unstable mental or psychiatric illness or other uncontrolled or life-threatening illness affecting quality of life or any vital organ failure. 4. Patients with a habit of tobacco chewing and/ or smoking, alcoholism and/or any other form(s) of substance abuse and/or dependence. 5. Vulnerable population: unconscious,ambulatory, too sick for consultation, differently abled, terminally or critically ill patients, mentally incompetent people. 6. Self-reported immune-compromised state. 7. Dyslipidemia: Total cholesterol- more than 199 mg/dl of blood, triglycerides more than 150 mg/dl, LDL more than 100 mg/dl, VLDL more than 150 mg/dl. 8. Serum urea: more than 40 mg/dl of blood and serum creatinine more than 1.2 mg/dl of blood will be excluded. 9. Pregnant and puerperal women and lactating mothers. 10. Undergoing homeopathic treatment for any chronic disease within last 6 months. 11. Patients who are too sick for consultation.
