Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Isolated unilateral intracapsular femoral neck fractures (AO type 31-B) Patients aged 16-60 years Patients consenting for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Open fractures Associated Ipsilateral femoral shaft / Distal femur fracture Patients with history of material sensitivity Patients with sepsis Patients with history of malignant primary or metastatic tumors Any other history of surgery in the same femur or any history of not mobilising with a normal gait prior to injury

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the clinical and functional outcomes of FNS in fracture NOF in young adults using modified Harris Hip Score. To assess the radiological outcomes of FNS in fracture NOF in young adults using pre and post op radiographs and CT scan. Timepoint: Outcomes be assessed at baseline , 2 weeks , 6 weeks , 3 months and 6 months

MeasureTime frame
To assess the complications related to FNS in neck of femur fractures in young adults. To compare results of our study with published literatureTimepoint: Outcomes will be assessed at 6 months
