Health Condition 1: F312- Bipolar disorder, current episodemanic severe with psychotic features

Interventions

Intervention1: BILATERAL CONTINOUS AND INTERMITTENT THETA BURST MAGNETIC STIMULATION: iTBS and cTBS will be delivered in two sessions per day first in left and then right DLPFC area more than half an
left and then right DLPFC area more than half hour apart) daily for 5 days for a week.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis of Mania, according to International Classification of Diseases-10 Diagnostic Criteria for Research (ICD-10) 2. Patients aged between 18-59 years. 3. Patients giving written informed consent. 4. Right handed, Normo-tensive patient. 5. Moderate to severe illness :Baseline YMRS Score > 26

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Neurological disorders with history of epilepsy, organic brain damage or any neurological procedures. 2. Subjects with pacemakers or other metal parts in the body. 3. Subjects who have received ECT in past 6 months. 4. Any co morbid psychosis or substance use disorders except nicotine and caffeine (as per ICD-10 DCR) 5. Significant unstable medical condition like uncontrolled hypertension, complicated diabetes mellitus or any organ failure.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess and compare in the manic symptoms in patients suffering from Acute Mania following active theta burst magnetic stimulation in â??active�? and "sham"group.Timepoint: Baseline YMRS, CGI-BP would be applied.Thus a three point rating would be done at 0, 7 and 21 days
