Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering from enlargement of alveolar ridge NOS, insufficient anatomic crown height, insufficient clinical crown length, irregular alveolar process, toothache NOS (ICD-10 code K08.89) 2. Patients suffering from toothache due to injury, dental caries, dental abscess, periodontitis, eruption of teeth, etc. 3. Age between 18 and 65 years 4. Patients of either sex 5. Habit of brushing teeth with toothbrush and fluoridated toothpaste at least once daily 6. Literate patients; ability to read English and/or Bengali and/or Hindi 7. Providing with written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Other orofacial pain conditions of non-odontogenic origin 2. Recent steroid or antibiotic therapy for dental pain, gingivitis, periodontitis, etc. 3. Spontaneous bleeding gum associated with systemic disorder 4. Patients who are too sick for consultation 5. Diagnosed cases of unstable mental or psychiatric illness or other uncontrolled or life-threatening illness affecting quality of life or any organ failure 6. Pregnant and puerperal women, lactating mothers 7. Vulnerable population – unconscious, ambulatory, too sick for consultation, differently abled, terminally or critically ill patients, institutionalized subjects, mentally incompetent people 8. Habit of tobacco chewing, smoking and different other form(s) of substance abuse and/or dependence 9. Self-reported immune-compromised state 10.Already undergoing homoeopathic treatment for chronic disease within last 2 weeks
