Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Cases suffering from primary piles (ICD K64.8) with or without anitis for at least 3 months 2. Age between 18 and 65 years 3. Patients of either sex 4. Patient having ongoing standard or other alternative therapy for piles, discontinued for at least 2 weeks. 5. Literate patients; ability to read and write in English, Hindi, and/or Bengali and capability and willingness to give informed consent and to comply with the study procedure
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Cases too sick for consultation 2. Grade IV piles, anal fissure and fistula, hypertrophic anal papillae, inflammatory bowel disease, coagulation disorders, rectal malignancies (suspected/diagnosed), history of leukemic disorders, patients with obstruction of portal circulation 3. Cases requiring immediate surgical intervention or undergoing surgery in last 6 months 4. Vulnerable population – Unconscious, differently abled, socially economically or politically susceptible to exploitation, terminally or critically ill patients, mentally incompetent people 5. Diagnosed cases of uncontrolled systemic diseases or life-threatening illness affecting quality of life or any organ failure 6. Patient with psychiatric disorders, unstable mental or psychiatric illness 7. Undergoing homoeopathic treatment for chronic disease within last 6 months 8. Self-reported immune-compromised state 9. Patient under tobacco chewing and/or smoking, alcoholism and/or any other form(s) of substance abuse and/or dependence 10. Pregnant, puerperal and lactating mothers
