Intervention1: Massage with Roghan-i-Haft bard: Massage with Roghan-i-Haft Barg 20 mins daily for 30 days Control Intervention1: TENS therapy: TENS therapy on alternate days for 30 days (15 sittings)

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Right or left hemiplegia with Painful shoulder syndrome with pain at rest and during functional movement of the shoulder girdle 2) Patients willing to participate in the trial

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Flaccid type of paralysis2) Previous surgery or trauma to the shoulder/pre-stroke history of frozen shoulder 3) Patients with cognitive impairment 4) Thermoalgesic sensitivity deficit 5) Chronic Inflammatory arthritic conditions of shoulder joint 6) Congenital bony abnormalities of shoulder joint 7) Brachial plexus injury 8) Presently on prescribed pain medication 9) Patients with Renal, Cardiac and respiratory diseases
