Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age of patient 18 -80 years. 2) Patient undergoing elective lumbar spinal surgery for an extradural pathology. 3) Patients who provide informed written consent for participation in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Intradural pathologies (2) Pathologies involving the cervical spine and thoracic spine (3) History of any psychiatric illness in the patient (4) Patients with severe respiratory cardiac, hepatic or renal dysfunction (5) Patients who have undergone a previous lumbar spine surgery. (6) History of allergy to any of the drugs being used in the cocktail. (7) Patients with ASA grade of more than 3. (8) Patients who are on antiplatelet drugs like aspirin and anticoagulants (9) Patients with previous history of thromboembolism.
