Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of Sandhigata vata and Amavata treated with Ayurveda treatment but not benefited to get relief in joint pain 2. Patient indicated for Raktmokshana

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are under anticoagulant treatment, suffering from hemophilia or having bleeding tendencies 2. Patients having increased prothrombin time than normal 3. Patient having hb less than 10gm% 4. Patients having other co morbidities like malignancy, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus etc. 5. Patients contraindicated for Raktamokshana

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome will be relief in signs, symptoms and vas for pain. Assessment will be done with the help of changes in gradation of joint pain. Womac scale for the assessment of joint pain will also be used for the assessment. Timepoint: 15 Days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome will be improvement in the loco-motor activities of the patients.Timepoint: 2 weeks
