Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Male industrial workers in the age group of 25-50 years diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. 2.Willingness of the participants to enroll in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Male industrial workers on any vitamin/mineral/herbal supplements. 2.Male industrial workers who suffer from any medical conditions such as gastrointestinal, liver or kidney disease, cardiovascular disease or other medical complications.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1. Change in the dietary pattern of the participants. 2. Improved difference in the metabolic parameters and inflammatory parameter of the test group subjects after black turtle bean supplementation. Timepoint: 60 days

MeasureTime frame
Development, standardization and assessment of sensory, nutrient, textural quality and shelf life of black turtle bean incorporated Ready-to-Eat (RTE) breakfast product.Timepoint: 6 months
