Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients with AO33-C2 and AO33-C3 femoral fractures presenting to the emergency department during the first 18 months of the study. Age group 18-60 years Operated within 21 days of injury. Open fractures Gustilo-Anderson grade 1,2,3A presenting within 7 days of injury.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Associated fractures in the ipsilateral limb Patients with open fractures (open grade 3b an 3c) Patients with periprosthetic fractures / peri-implant fractures. Patients with pathological fractures due to neoplastic lesion. Patients with ipsilateral limb surgery in the past  Patients not giving consent Patients not willing to follow up
