Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of development of laryngeal edema in patients undergoing elective craniotomy for intracranial tumour excision assessed by cuff leak test.Timepoint: at baseline immediately after intubation and before extubation in supine position

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare cuff leak test and laryngeal ultrasound for determination of laryngeal edema in neurosurgical patients undergoing elective excision of intracranial tumor.Timepoint: Before tracheal extubation in supine position; To study factors affecting development of laryngeal edema in patients undergoing craniotomy for elective intracranial tumour excision.Timepoint: before tracheal extubation
