Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult smokers: light and moderate smokers Those who smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime, smoked a minimum of one cigarette per day for at least one year, not currently using prescription medication and not pregnant Adult Smokeless tobacco users: aged 18 years and above providing informed consent and those who are willing to quit Those who used smokeless tobacco with nicotine content for at least one year, not currently using prescription medication and not pregnant
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Adults who are not ready to quit, those who have current dental problems, active peptic ulcer disease, psychiatric disorders, use of illicit drugs, participation in another clinical trial and/or using any first-line smoking cessation aids within 30 days. Heavy smokers and smokeless tobacco users having significant dependence on tobacco users will be excluded in the study. Adults who have oral mucosal lesions or those who develop oral mucosal lesions such as oral ulcerations during the study period.
