Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a) Patients suffering from Gout diagnosed as per ACR-EULAR Gout classification criteria. b) Patients of age group 18-65 years and of both sexes. c) Patients having ability to read English, Bengali, Hindi. d) Patients who provided written consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) Unwilling to participate or to comply with the study requirements. b) Too unwell to take part in the study. c) Having other uncontrolled psychiatric illness or systemic diseases and/or pathologies affecting quality of life. d) Those who are using homoeopathic medicines for any chronic disease. e) Having self-reported immune-compromised state. f) Having drug or substance abuse and/or dependence. g) Pregnant women or lactating mothers.

| I. To estimate the changes in serum uric acid level (baseline vs. 6 months). II. To estimate the changes in Gout Assessment Questionnaire (GAQ2) over 3 months and 6 months of treatment. III. To estimate the changes in Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile (MYMOP2) at baseline, every month up to 6 months. IV. To study the correlations between Outcome in Relation to Impact on Daily Living (ORIDL) previously known as Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital Outcome Scale (GHHOS) and changes in GAQ2 at baseline, 3 months & 6 months. V. To assess the responsiveness of GAQ scales: mean GAQ change scores by serum uric acid level at follow up of 3 months and 6 months.Timepoint: All the enrolled participants will be allowed to receive 6 months of treatment. The outcomes will be measured at baseline, after 3 months, and after 6 months as per the applicability of assessment criteria. The result will be analysed after all the participants received the specified period of treatment of 6 months individually. | — |

| To assess Likelihood Ratio of the following four symptoms of homoeopathic medicine Colchicum autumnale those are related to the patients of gout. I. Pins and needles sensation in hands and wrist. II. Tearing pain in limbs worse in evening and warm weather. III. Joints stiff and cannot bear to have it touched or moved. IV. Oedematous swelling of legs and feet. Timepoint: All the enrolled participants will be allowed to receive 6 months of treatment. The outcomes will be measured at baseline, after 3 months, and after 6 months as per the applicability of assessment criteria.
