Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Elective surgery requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation 2.Age group > 65 years 3.ASA grade I -III 4.BMI < 40 kg/m2
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusal 2.Unable to give consent 3.Pre-existing airway malformations or pathology like facial or cervical fractures 4.Unstable spine and history of cervical spine fixation 5.Maxillofacial abnormality 6.Patients with tracheostomy tubes 7.Pregnant patients 8.BMI > 40 kg/ m2 9.Emergency surgery 10.Nasal intubation 11.Intubation with fiberoptic scope or glidescope 12.Awake fibreoptic intubation
