Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.patient undergoing interlocking nail for inter trochanteric fracture of femur. 2.patients consenting to participate. 3.adult patient aged 50 years or more. 4.patients of both genders. 5.weight 40-80 kgs
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.History of allergic reactions to local anesthetics. 2.Patients on anticoagulant therapy and H/O coagulation disorders. 3.Local infection at the proposed site of puncture for both blocks and spinal anesthesia. 4. Chronic use of opioids or corticosteroids. 5. Pregnent female. 6. Uncooperative patients.
