Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients indicated for single rooted carious maxillary tooth which cannot be treated endodontically. 2. Patients willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with periapical pathologies 2. Patients with dilacerated roots. 3. Patient with systemic diseases like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, thyroid, tuberculosis, epilepsy seizures.

MeasureTime frame
1. 24 hours post-operative pain assessed using Visual Analog Scale (VAS) 2. Socket preservation assessed checking if buccal and palatal cortical plate preserved or not. 3. Time consumed for extraction assessed using timer. 4. 24 hours post-operative rescue medicine (Tab Paracetamol 650mg) required by the patient will be noted. Timepoint: outcome will be checked at post-operative day 1 and then after 7 days for any rescue medicine taken.
