Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: COPD with FEV1/FVC <0.7 diagnosed within one year of screening date, both smokers and non-smokers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of active cardiovascular disease with surgical intervention, malignancy, hepatic or renal insufficiency, malabsorption syndrome 2.History of major surgery, anaemia or tuberculosis in the previous 6 months 3.Acute exacerbation in the last 3 months 4.Consumption of Antibiotic in the last 3 months 5.Consumption of any other nutrition supplement in the previous 15 days 6.Participation in pulmonary rehabilitation programme in the last 3 months at the time of recruitment 7.Specific allergy to any of the components of nutritional supplement
