Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II 2. Body weight 40-70 kg 3. Height between 140-165 cm 4. Elective caesarean section
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA physical status III or IV 2. Patients with pregnancy induced hypertension or preeclampsia 3. Cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases 4. Foetal anomalies and twin gestation 5. Caesarean deliveries done for non-reassuring foetal status and emergency caesarean delivery 6. Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia 7. Body mass index >40 8. Gestational age 40 weeks.

| Perfusion index,Blood pressure and heart rate will be monitored.Hypotension: A fall in blood pressure of 20% or more from the baseline is defined as an episode of hypotension.Timepoint: the above will be monitored every minute following spinal anesthesia till the baby delivery. folllowing that vitals will be monitored every 3 minutes till the end of surgery. | — |
