Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 to 75 yrs 2. Chronic liver disease ( Diagnosed by clinical, laboratory and abdominal imaging) 3. Endoscopic evidence of bluish esophageal mucosa with or without other established manifestation of portal hypertension like varices, PHG and PHD

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age below 18 yrs 2. Pregnant women 3. Previous endotherapy like EVL or sclerotherapy 4. Previous TIPS or stunt surgery 5. Significant cardiac or respiratory disease 6. Hapatocellular carcinoma 7. Previouse diagnosis of esophageal disease 8. patient not willing to take part
