Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. is a DM2 patient, 2. uses medication for their DM2, 3. has mastery of the local language, 4. is legally capable (to consent), 5. able to measure their (daily) blood glucose (physical and metal capable), 6. able to use an (smart) mobile (only applicable for participants enrolled at Eternal Health Care & Research Center)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1. age 65 years, 2. suffers from serious COPD (Gold III or IV), 3. uses an insulin pump for diabetes control, 4. underwent gastric bypass or gastric band surgery, 5. suffers from an eating disorder, 6. has heart failure (NYHA class II through IV), 7. pregnancy, 8. albumin-to-creatinine ratio ( > 30 mg / mmol for morning urine, >300 mg / g for 24-hour urine)
