Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Critically ill children from 6 months to <16 years of age with acute kidney injury stage 3 defined by KDIGO criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children already initiated on RRT, Fluid overload > 10-15%, Severe metabolic acidosis pH 6.0 mEq/L refractory to medical management, Uremic encephalopathy, Inborn errors of metabolism/ Intoxication/ poisoning where hemodialysis is required urgently
