Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with ASA (American society of anaesthesia) 1-3 physical status 2) Age 18-65 yrs of either sex

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who are unable to open mouth due to any reason 2) Patients with laryngeal masses 3) Patients with head and neck cancers 4) Patients with limited cervical movement 5) Pregnancy 6) Psychiatric disorder

MeasureTime frame
To predict the sensitivity and specificity of all four parameters in predicting difficult laryngoscopy i.e sonographic measurements from Anteriorneck softtissue 1) At level of hyoid bone 2) At the level of thyrohyoid membrane and difficult airway clinical screening tests 1) Mallampati score 2) Thyromental distance Timepoint: The preoperative assessment data of above parameters along with the Intubation difficulty scale as gold standard will be used to determine the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive values and they will be analyzed in combination and for individual test at the end of study i.e within 6 months

To measure the distances in predicting difficult laryngoscopy i.e sonographic measurements from Anterior neck soft tissue 1) At level of hyoid bone 2) At the level of thyrohyoid membrane and difficult airway clinical screening tests 1) Mallampati score 2) Thyromental distance Timepoint: Within 6 months once study Is over so as to calculate sensitivity and specificity individually and in total
