Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Lower third molars indicated for surgical extraction (Pedersen index: 3-5) 2. Healthy individuals (ASA Class 1 or 2)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age < 18 years 2. Pregnant/breast-feeding women 3. Allergy to study medication or related drugs 4. Consumption of antibiotics in the week before surgery 5. Teeth with signs of acute pericoronitis 6. Patients who cannot comply with follow-up schedule 7. Patients with history of gastritis, peptic ulcer, and under medication for the same

MeasureTime frame
Presence of signs of infection and need for rescue analgesics post- surgery.Timepoint: Outcome variables will be measured on the first, third, and seventh day post-operatively
