Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects presenting with Clinical Signs & Symptoms of Vataja Gridhrasi 2. Straight Leg Raising (SLR) test being positive. 3. Subject fit for Basti karma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects presenting with Clinical Signs & Symptoms of Vatakaphaja Gridhrasi. 2. Subjects suffering with T.B. Spine / Hip, tumors of spine, focal neuropathy and any septic or infectious disease of spine, History of Trauma / Traumatic lesion in lumbosacral region. 3. Subjects with other severe systemic disorder or multi systemic involvement and any concomitant serious illness.

1. To clinically evaluate the efficacy of chaturbhadra kalpa basti in Vataja gridhrasi. 2. To clinically evaluate the efficacy of kala basti in vataja gridhrasi. 3. To compare the efficacy of chaturbhadra kalpa basti and kala basti in vataja Gridhrasi. 4. SUBJECTIVE PARAMETERS A. Ruk (Pain) B. Sthambha (Stiffness) C. Spandana (Tingling sensation) D. Toda (Pricking Sensation) 5. OBJECTIVE PARAMETRES A. SLR Test. B. Tenderness Timepoint: The outcome of interventional group will be accessed on Before treatment, 13th day- After treatment & follow up of 30th & 45th day. The outcome of Comparator group (Ayurveda) will be accessed on Before treatment, 16th day - After treatment & follow up of 30th & 45th day.
