Intervention1: intrathecal morphine: intrathecal morphine 100 mcg in 40 patients .). Spinal anesthesia will be performed at the level of L3-L4 or L4-L5 intervertebral space using a 25G Quincke spine

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: a. Age >18 years b. Gestational age >37 weeks with a singleton pregnancy c. ASA grade 1 & 2 d. Patients scheduled for elective cesarean section

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: a. Morbid obesity (BMI >35/m2) b. Clinical contraindication to spinal anesthesia c. Allergy to medications which is included in the protocol d. Drug addiction e. Patient refusal

To compare the efficacy of quadratus lumborum block and intrathecal morphine. Efficacy will be based on pain score calculated for first 48 hours and morphine consumption over 48 hours .Timepoint: For 48 hours

To find out the incidence of complication of both modalities To find out first morphine demand Timepoint: For 48 hours
