Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Participants of both genders and who are older than 50 years. 2. Patients who met the American college of rheumatology criteria(ACR), which is used for diagnosing osteoarthritis of the knee joint is presence of pain in knee plus any 3 of the 6 factors mentioned below. a. Age more than 50y. b. Presence of crepitus on active motion. c. Less than 30 minutes of morning stiffness. d. Bony tenderness. e. Bony overgrowth. f. No palpable warmth of synovium. 3. Participants who have arthritic changes on X-ray. 4. Patients diagnosed by an orthopedic doctor.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants who underwent any surgical procedure for knee (i.e. within 12 weeks) 2. Pain due to tumor or infection to the knee 3. Co-existing inflammatory, metabolic, neurological disease. 4. Chronic widespread pain (i.e. fibromyalgia) 5. Cognitive impairment. 6. Subjects with a history of major trauma, fractures, dislocation, and subluxation surrounding the knee. 7. Subjects who had taken steroid injection over a period of 2 months. 8. Referred pain from adjacent joint structures
