Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients > 18 years of age with rib fractures and Numerical rating score of greater than 4.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Known allergy to amide-type local anaesthetics, NSAIDS, Tramadol and fentanyl. 2.Penetrating thoracic trauma. 3.Pregnancy 4.Institutionalized individuals and prisoners 5.Unable to give consent due to dementia or altered mental status 6.Requiring immediate surgical intervention 7.Signs of infection or laceration at injection site 8.Systolic BP 9.History of chronic pain, chronic use of analgesics 10.History of substance abuse 11.Presence of subcutaneous emphysema at the block site.
