Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diabetes mellitus. Peripheral vascular disease. Allergy to local anaesthetics. Use of medications like alpha and beta blocker drugs. Local site infection. Refusal to consent.

MeasureTime frame
To observe the difference in PI value between blocked and unblocked arms. To observe change in PI value before and after interscalene block in each arm. To calculate a cut off value of PI and PI ratio as predictors of successful block Timepoint: -baseline that is before the administration of block -after successful block (20 mins after administration of block)
