Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients with Hemoglobin 8 to 10 grams/dl along with history of pica. 2 Patients with signs and symptoms of Mritbhakshanjanya Pandu. 3 Children with sign and symptoms of Mritbhakshanjanya Pandu mentioned in the classics and PICA mentioned in contemporary system was taken for study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Other types of Anemia, Thalassemia, Sideroblastic, Congenital atransferrinemia , Chronic inflammation and infections, Malignancy â?? lymphatic tumour and lymphoid hyperplasia, Inborn errors of metabolism 2 PICA with complication like severe Anemia (Hemoglobin % less than 8gm/dl and more than 10gm/dl), with no history of pica, malnutrition, lead toxicity, intestinal obstruction 3 PICA with other Infectious diseases like HIV, TB, HBsAg. 4 PICA with Mental retardation
