Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The age of the participants should be above 18 2. High emotional dysregulation (DERS cut-off score >=45) 3. Currently meeting criteria for either depression and/or anxiety disorder as per DSM V criteria 4. Duration of illness 5. Six weeks of stable dosage of medicines prior to the study or currently not on medication 6. Stable dosage of medicines for the course of the study 7. Access to internet, smartphone/laptop/computer 8. Read, write, and speak English 9. Access to privacy to attend sessions 10. Participant residing in India

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals meeting the criteria for diagnosis of Intellectual Disability, Bipolar affective disorder, Schizophrenia, and other psychotic illnesses 2. Currently in inpatient treatment 3. Currently undergoing psychotherapy

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Measures for Feasibility and Acceptability of the program - primary outcome; Referrals; Mean attendance of the program; Rates of homework compliance; Usefulness of the session and module; Feedback InterviewTimepoint: The usefulness of the session will be measured weekly, the usefulness of the module will be measured after the completion of the module. The rest of the outcomes will be measured at the end of the study.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Difficulties in emotional regulation will measure emotional dysregulation in the patient. Measured using Difficulties in Emotional regulation (DERS-18) scale. Symptom severity of depression and anxiety will be measured using Patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7)respectively. The psychological wellbeing of the patient using Clinical outcomes in routine evaluation (CORE-10).Timepoint: DERS-18, PHQ-9 and GAD-7 will be measured at the beginning of the intervention, after their respective course of intervention and at follow up after 1 month.
