Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients undergoing esophagectomy for cancer esophagus and gastroesophageal junction operated in the surgical oncology unit of Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences from 2015 onwards

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Urgent surgery, American society of Anaesthesiologists-Physical status 4 and 5 , inoperable patient , patients in the enhanced pathway who could not comply with protocol

To study the outcome of enhanced recovery protocol with respect to morbidity ,mortality and length of stay in patients operated for esophageal and esophageogastric surgeriesTimepoint: 30 day morbidity, 30 day mortality and total length of stay
