Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) age between 18 and 50 years(2) history of at least one ankle sprain (3) at least one episode of giving away in the previous 6 months(4) ankle pain of intensity more than 3 points on an 10 point numerical pain rate scale(NPRS)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) fracture in the lower extremity, (2) any concomitant lower extremity pathology, for example, vascular disease. (3) pregnancy (4)patients having needle phobia or hypersensitivity to metals. (5)Unable to give consent due to communication, cognitive. (6)Altered sensations over foot region (7)h/o syncope, skin conditions like psoriasis, open or infected wound on calf/feet. (8) The presence of coagulopathy or use of anticoagulants according to medical criteria
