Interventions

Intervention1: Rocuronium with Magnesium: Magnesium sulphate at a dose of 60mg/kg is given over 10 minutes prior to induction followed by Rocuronium at a dose of 0.9mg/kg is used for muscle relaxation

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective surgery under General anaesthesia with a duration of >60 minutes ASA status 1 and 2 patients Age 18-60 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA status 3 and 4 2. Patients with contraindications to any of the drugs used in this study 3. Patients with neuromuscular diseases 4. Patients with electrolyte imbalances 5. BMI >28 6. Anticipated difficult intubation or mask ventilation 7. Pregnancy 8. Emergency surgery
