Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Singleton pregnancy with no gross congenital anomaly in level II scan. 2) Patients after 20 weeks period of gestation with excellent dates as corroborated by a) Clinical information of known last menstrual period b) 28 to 30 days cycle c) Availability of first trimester ultrasound 3a) Cases: Pregnant female included in the study as case are women who are diagnosed as preeclampsia with new onset hypertension after 20 weeks of gestation associated with proteinuria 3b) Controls: Pregnant female included in the study as control are normotensive women whose pregnancies. (Controls will be matched for Period of Gestation (POG) with cases in 1:1 ratio)

Exclusion criteria: known case of heart disease

Adverse maternal Outcome: 1. Eclampsia 2. HELLP 3. Acute kidney injury 4. Pulmonary edema 5. Intracranial haemorrhage Adverse perinatal outcome which will be defined by any one of: 1.Low birth weight(LBW) 2. APGAR7 at 5 minutes after birth 3. Cesarean Section for intra-partum fetal compromise (CS-IFC) 4. Meconium Stained Liquor (MSL) 5. Admission to NICU for Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy 6. Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUD) 7. Cord Blood pH 7 Timepoint: 1 year
