Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with AO-OTA 31 A2.2 and A2.3 intertrochanteric fracture above 18years of age will be included in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with polytrauma, open fractures, fractures with subtrochanteric extension, intracapsular fractures of the neck of femur, pathological fractures, non-ambulatory patients, and patients who do not consent for the study were excluded from the study.

| Radiological and functional assessment will be done at each follow-up. Time for union will be noted. Functional assessment will be done using the Modified Harris Hip Score, range of motion at the hip,and the radiological assessment of union using the RUSH Score and health outcome measures using SF-12 questionnaire.Timepoint: 6 weeks, 3months, 6months,and at 1 year. | — |
