Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient undergoing laparotomy for perforation peritonitis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with renal failure. Immunosuppressed (HIV, transplant recipients, steroids) Patients developing an anastomotic leak. Patients with underlying bowel malignancy. Previous history of radiation exposure to the anterior abdominal wall. Patients with a previous history of laparotomy. Patients with hypersensitivity to drugs (Amikacin/ Metronidazole). Patients denying consent.
