Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to ICU with shock and requiring norepinephrine to maintain a MAP > 65 mmhg. Cause of shock presumed to be due to sepsis, as defined by 2016 Sepsis-3 guidelines.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known history of any prior cardiac disease. Known history of COPD/ILD. Inability to obtain clear ECHO images Refusal to participate.
