Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA1 &ASA2 Patient undergoing elective surgery in general anaesthesia of duration less than 2 hours No history of allergy to lignocaine or magnesium sulphate Systolic BP >100mmhg and heart rate > 50bpm No anticipated difficult airway

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal of consent by patient
