Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To observe the effect of neck flexion on the length of posterior longitudinal ligament as a measure of change in acoustic target window for lumbar neuraxial access as compared with neck in neutral positionTimepoint: To observe the effect of neck flexion on the length of posterior longitudinal ligament as a measure of change in acoustic target window for lumbar neuraxial access as compared with neck in neutral position in the immediate pre operative period about 10 minutes before the patient is wheeled inside the operation theatre.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess comfort level of the patients in each of the neck positions based on likert scaleTimepoint: Assessed in the immediate pre operative period while performing the ultrasound scan about 10 minutes before the patient is wheeled inside the operation theatre.
