Intervention1: Intravenous lignocaine 1.5 mg/kg 3 minutes before extubation: Inflation of endotracheal cuff with 10 ml of saline and its comparison with 1.5 mg/kg of intavenous lignocaine Intervention

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study will be conducted in ASA I , II and III patients undergoing ear ,nose and throat surgeries of duration more than or equal to 1 hour

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient refusing consent 2.ASA grade IV 3.Emergency operations 4.Lower esophageal sphincter incompetence 5.Pregnant females 6.Active airway infection 7.History of previous surgery and pathology of larynx and trachea
