Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-65 years 2. ASA I-II patients scheduled for endoscopic micro-laryngeal laser surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with stridor, 2. Patients on chronic antitussive medications for diseases other than the larynx 3. Psychiatric patients on medication 4. ASA III & IV 5. patients with coagulation disorder 6. Patients on analgesics or beta-blockers, 7. Patients with hypersensitivity to the study drug 8. Mallampati classification III and IV and 9. Patients requiring more than one attempt for endotracheal intubation.
