Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects with age 35-55 years Subjects with controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus i.e. defined as fasting blood sugar in the range of 80 to 130 mg/dL and hemoglobinA1c of <7.0% Subjects diagnosed with Periodontitis stage II Grade B grade 2 according to new classification for periodontal disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: systemic disease other than type 2 diabetes mellitus history of periodontal surgery in last 12 months history of antimicrobial anti-inflammatory drug in past 3 months pregnant /lactating mother , any known allergy to mouthwash smokers.
